What did you get out of your experience? Do you think it will change the way you blog in the future?
It renewed my love for blogging (Thanks Alicia!) even though I have been really busy lately. I really hope I can keep up blogging even if it’s not everyday. As for the second part of the question…It might change the way I blog I guess we will see. I want to thank Alicia for doing this challenge again this year and I’m already looking forward to next year! This was my first year doing it but I think I will be doing it every year now. 🙂
Hmm..I’m not really sure what to write here…
Something that bothers me in SL or anywhere for that matter are “designers” who just redo what other people have already done. I want to see some originality! I want to see what YOU can think of. I sometimes look at the SL feeds to see what’s out there and I see a lot of stuff just redone over and over and it gets boring. It’s one of the reasons I stopped looking at feeds so much.
On a different note…I just got in touch with a friend I hadn’t talked to for a few months because she was busy with school and then went to see her family. It was nice talking to her. What’s funny is we started out as “enemies” because of someone else’s lies and now we are good friends….imagine that? 🙂
That’s all I have..sorry!
I can answer both of these so…I think I will. This is what this post is about.
Question 1 – (for SL Bloggers) – Is your avatar more or less your current biological age? Do you portray a younger avatar, or older? Why is this?
My Avatar is the same age is me in RL even if she does look young. I’m not one to pretend I’m younger or older..I like being myself and acting my age.
Queation 2 – (for RL Bloggers) – Do you lie about your age? Do you think you act your age? Are you where you thought you’d be at your current age?
I have never lied about my age but people often think I’m younger then I am because I look younger. As for acting my age..I do act my age most of the time. We all have moments when we are being silly and don’t act our age though…don’t deny it. 😉
I’m not where I want to be but I’m working very hard to get there and I’m close.
Since I never “dated” in SL I won’t be answering the SL question but I will answer the RL question. If you want to know what the heck I’m talking about...go here
Would you start a relationship with someone you met online? Would you have a problem telling people that’s where you met? Do you think it’s easier to meet someone online rather than at work or at a club?
Yes – online is where I met my current boyfriend; We met in a game called There back in 2003, became close friends and have been together since 2008.
It has never been a problem – quite the reverse in fact. Everyone knows of the ads on TV for dating sites, so there is less stigma – and people are surprised to hear that online dating and meeting can work.
Yes and No. It can be easier because you get to know the person inside better – and you can open up easier. However, it’s also harder because you do not experience the “human touch” of being with that person face to face. But it does make the first meeting all that more special! For me, it was like being struck by lightning….and in the good way!
SL Bloggers – Write about three positive things going on in your Second Life…
Well I don’t really get to log into SL much anymore because of work and life but I have a few positive things which are things they keep me logging in.
1. I met some of the greatest friends in SL and wish I could hang out with them more these days.
2. I enjoy exploring new places and seeing what people create.
3. SL fulfills my shopping addiction and I love all the stuff people make from clothes, skin, hair to home decor.
I’m also going to answer the other question – Write about three positive things going on in your life
1. I have the most loving, caring, supportive boyfriend in my life and I’m so glad we found each other. I’m the luckiest girl alive.
2. I love being a teacher and happy With my job for the most part.
3. I have two of the cutest, sweetest, beautiful, loving dogs on the planet. I love coming home from work and having them greet us.
